Maria Casique-Leon
Hola todxs! My name Is Maria Casique-Leon I am a first-generation Latina student. A product of immigrant parents. My passions around health equity in Latinx community are motives towards becoming a doctora. In my free-time I have a podcast, En Conversaciones, enjoy weighligting, hanging out with amigas, and spending time with my family. I joined CHE because as a first-gen pre-med Latina I found communidad here at Cal. It was very welcoming and got to meet a lot of Latinx students at Berkeley.
As part of the Publicity team my co and I are responsible for social media: IG, TiikTok, FB. We work in designing posts, tabling, and work on merch for CHE. We send out bi-weekly meetings and try to engage with CHEsties through social media platforms.
Hello! My name is Michelle, I am from a small coastal town called Half Moon Bay, CA. I am a first generation Mexican-American third year student majoring in Integrative Biology and minoring in Spanish Linguisitcs. I joined CHE because it is a place not only where I could connect with other Latinx students who share similar interests, but I could expand myself professionally as a pre-med student.
As a part of the Co-Publicity team I work alongside my co-officer behind the scenes designing all of our social media posts and engagements. Aside from social media we coordinate tabling hours, send out a bi-weekly newsletter, and design merchandise.
